In 2014, G&G Armament wanted to create something special from their Multifunctional Electronic Target (M.E.T.) and bring something new to the industry. Using the M.E.T.’s modular and compact size, G&G Armament created a shooting course that included 60 M.E.T’s. The course was designed to test the player’s agility and accuracy. It challenges participates to identify targets efficient while maintaining their composure under stress.
In 2015, G&G Armament hosted its first World Cup Shooting Competition in Taipei, Taiwan. More than 14 countries and 20 teams participated in the inaugural competition. The World Cup Shooting Competition is a 2-day event that includes a 5×5 M.E.T. and Search and Destroy competitions.
In 2017, G&G Armament hosted its second World Cup Shooting competition with 30 teams from 24 different countries. It was more fierce and competitive as $10,000 USD was up for grabs in the World Cup Shooting Competition Finals. Ultimately, Team Chile won the grand prize while Taiwan and Hong Kong came in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
Last year, G&G Armament hosted its third World Cup Shooting competition with more than 30 countries participating. The event was held in the heart of Taipei, Taiwan at Taipei Expo. The competition lasted for 3 fierce days and the top 3 winning countries were Japan, Netherlands and Czech Republic respectively.
As of now, we plan to host the 2021 World Cup Shooting Competition in Taipei, Taiwan with the ongoing pandemic. We are monitoring the Taiwanese government updates and World Health Organization guidelines closely to ensure we will be in compliance next year.
